Discussion
Elevations
- Lambagad. ZOM-IND-UTT-1020250017 and ZOM-IND-UTT-1020250018 share the point 30.692639, 79.513239 but give 2,400 m and 2,037 m.
Tehsil
- Joshimath. None of the four accessions names a tehsil. The article's Joshimath Tehsil is OpenStreetMap's reading of both points.
How the border is drawn
- Where this border meets the Western Himalayas border or the border of a neighbouring growing area, the two share one line, drawn once.
- Since October 2026 the map line leaves out ground above 4,000 m (SRTM elevation) and land that ESA WorldCover 2021 maps as bare or sparse vegetation, permanent snow and ice, or open water at its outer edge only: land of those kinds that the kept ground encloses is inside, pieces less than 5 km apart are joined, and pieces under 25 km² with no accession in them are left out. About 1,320 km² of the 4,540 km² inside Joshimath tehsil are inside the line. The line runs out along the lowest ground to take in the map point, which stands outside the kept land.
