Why Calarcá is an appellation
- The appellation rests on the two Punto Rojo accessions. Their records say the flowers came from a landrace population grown near Calarcá, and the one point recorded for both lies inside the municipality. No published source read names Calarcá as a place where cannabis is grown.
- The status is Active: the accessions are from the 2023 harvest.
Border
The border is the municipality of Calarcá (OpenStreetMap relation 1343044; DIVIPOLA code 63130), simplified and clipped to the Quindío border; about 220 km². The point in the infobox is the centre of the border, not a field.
Elevation
The infobox of each accession gives 1,564 m, the elevation of the recorded point; the body text of the accession pages gives 1,865 m for Calarcá. The page uses the recorded point's figure and leaves the infobox elevation fields empty.
