Evidentiary scope
The page rests on three Wayback captures of a single cocogenes.com listing (5 March 2021, 26 September 2021, 21 January 2022); the description body and short blurb are identical across all three, so only the earliest is cited. Unlike most other Coco Genes listings in this batch, this one carries no additional-information attribute table on any capture read — no stated aroma, effect, leaf shape, flowering time or seed count. Naming ambiguity: Rangamati is also a Bangladeshi district
"Rangamati" (also romanised Rangamati/Rangamatty) is the name of a well-known hill district of Bangladesh, in the Chittagong Hill Tracts — a place readers may associate with the name well before a West Bengal locality of the same or a similar name. The cocogenes.com listing is unambiguous that it places "Rangamatti" in the state of West Bengal, India ("RANGAMATTI West Bengal"; "the most beautiful cultivar from the state of west Bengal"); it gives no district, coordinate or other detail that would allow the specific place to be identified or the state attribution to be checked. Per today's ruling, this is recorded as the source states it and not corrected, silently disambiguated, or mapped to the Bangladeshi district: the state field reads West Bengal, and locality is entered as "Rangamatti" only because the whole pattern of Coco Genes listings in this batch names the accession after its place of origin — it is not independently confirmed as a real, mappable West Bengal locality distinct from the Bangladeshi namesake.
