Discussion
Evidentiary scope
The article rests on a single cocogenes.com listing, archived from 23 May 2022, with two later captures (29 November 2023, 7 November 2024) not separately cited. The listing itself apologises for having no photographs of the fields ("issues with my phone during the visit"); none is entered. No reseller or forum source was found. Editorial treatment
- Accession ID.
COC-IND-HIM-0120210002. No collection date is stated; the listing is filed under "2021 season", so per this batch's ruling (RULINGS_2026-09-23.md §5) the ID tail is2021andcollection_datestays empty. - Locality.
Tosh. Province entered as Himachal Pradesh from the listing's own "Parvati valley" reference, which lies wholly within the state; no district is named on this listing. - Elevation. Entered as
2000from the listing's "[l]ocated above 2000m" — a stated floor, not an exact site figure. Recorded here rather than left blank because the worklist's ownaltitude_if_anyfield treats it the same way; flagging for Éloïse that this is an approximation, not a precise elevation. - Farmer name.
Maamu, the village elder the listing names and centres its account on.collectoris left blank: the listing's narrator, who visited and collected the seed, is not named as an individual (presumably Coco Genes' own founder, already carried byseed_storage_location). - Not entered.
aroma: the listing gives two competing, attributed accounts ("high mango aromas", attributed to "[s]ome people"; "bhaang", attributed to "the village hashashins") rather than a single stated trait, so both are kept in prose rather than reduced to one infobox value. Possible duplicate
Tosh carries a real risk of conflation on this wiki, though it is not addressed on Talk:Coco Genes the way Rasol and Grahan are. Existing: four 2022 ZOM-IND-HIM-092022* Tosh selections, eight further Tosh-Kutla selections, and three 2025 lines. This accession is not asserted to be the same collection as any of them — nothing read connects Coco Genes' Maamu-sourced material to Zomia Collective's Tosh or Tosh-Kutla lines. Links
Tosh (the village itself, distinct from this accession page) and Bhang (the cannabis-smell term the listing itself glosses, "bhaang, a slang term for cannabis smell") are new redlinks minted here; both checked against the API on 23 September 2026 and confirmed missing (the related but distinct term bhangolu is already linked from the wiki's Grahan article).
