Evidentiary scope
Coco Genes' own product listing (Wayback capture, 16 January 2021; two later captures on file, 27 June 2022 and 20 May 2024) is the primary source for place, coordinates and altitude. Independent corroboration comes from Overgrow forum posts naming Coco Genes as the supplier of "Arakku Valley" / "Araku Valley" seed. A separate, unrelated first-hand Araku grow log exists on Overgrow (topic "First grow in central India - araku") describing personally collected material with no Coco Genes attribution at all; it is not used here, since it documents a different, unconnected line. The listing states 18.3273° N, 82.8775° E. OpenStreetMap Nominatim reverse geocoding of this point returns "Araku Valley, Alluri Sitharama Raju, Andhra Pradesh" — the place the listing names. A forward search for "Araku Valley, Andhra Pradesh" returns 18.3234420, 82.8805825, about 1 km from the stated point (check on file, 2026-09-18, `org_checks-0004`). - Collection date. Left empty. Per today's ruling on unstated collection years, a Season-category year populates the ID but not `collection_date`, because no source states when the seed was actually collected.
- Elevation. Entered as 951 m: the listing gives this as the site's own stated altitude, not a growing-conditions range, matching the treatment of a single site figure elsewhere in this batch.
- Locality. Entered as "Araku Valley" — the place named in both lanes; no more specific settlement is stated.

Source discrepancies
- Place specificity. Coco Genes' own listing: "Arakku is located in the northeast hilly belts of Andhra Pradesh ... a valley in Eastern Ghats occupied by different tribes," with coordinates and altitude given. Independent Overgrow posts naming Coco Genes as the supplier ("I do have some pure seed stock from cocogenes," Soiltech, 18 August 2025; "The Araku beans are from Cocogenes, sourced direct from the region," Soiltech, 25 September 2025) describe the line only as an "India regional variety" from Araku Valley, without naming the state. The two do not conflict; they differ only in specificity, and both are recorded on the article.
