Discussion
Evidentiary scope
The label places cannabis on a spring-fed slope at Dab in August 1970. The label names a spring slope, not a weed habitat, and does not say whether the plants were wild, escaped or sown, so the accession is classified Other. It names no use or local name. No conservation priority is assigned.
Label reading
No image of the sheet is published: JACQ's image service has none for it, and GBIF lists no media. The label has therefore not been read here. The article quotes Vienna's own transcription of it, the catalogue's Label field, and says so.
Georeferencing
No coordinate is asserted. GeoNames places Dab (1144786) 3.6 kilometres south of Jalālah (1424034), which agrees with the label's 4 km S Jalala. The SRTM 30-metre elevation at the GeoNames point is 1,014 metres, and at the point rounded to two decimals 1,169 metres, against the label's 900 metres. The label puts the gathering on a slope bei Dab, near the village, not in it, and the village point does not meet the label's altitude, so no point is entered. The province field takes Kunar Province.
Editorial treatment
The locality field takes Dab, the place the label names for the gathering; Jalala is the label's reference point. The collector field takes O. Anders, the catalogue's form. The scientific name field takes Rechinger's determination, under which the sheet is filed. The collector's full name in the article is the person Vienna's catalogue links the collector to (Wikidata Q59603393, Olaf Anders).
The sheet was sampled in 2018 for Christopher J. Grassa's herbarium-genomics project; the catalogue's note reads Leaf tissue removed for DNA for C.F. Grassa 2018. None of the 1,444 public BioSamples of Cannabis sativa whose voucher field names a herbarium sheet (NCBI, read in early October 2026) names this sheet's catalogue number, so no sequence data is listed in the infobox.
