ANF reports seizing 214.22 kg of drugs in eight operations, including 14.3 kg of hashish

The Daily Independent reported on 25 September 2026 that Pakistan's Anti-Narcotics Force had announced eight operations in several cities, with six arrests and 214.22 kilograms of drugs recovered, valued at more than Rs 273 million. The cannabis items in the announcement were 8.4 kg of hashish from a motorcyclist near Baleli check post in Quetta district, 5 kg of hashish with 1 kg of opium from a motorcyclist near Faisalabad Road in Sheikhupura, 900 grams of hashish from a vehicle near University Road in Peshawar, 1.75 kg of weed in a parcel from the United States at the Lahore Airport cargo shed and 210 grams of cannabinoid in a parcel bound for the United Arab Emirates in Islamabad. Most of the total was 195 kg of opium recovered near Aghberg in Quetta district. The announcement gives no dates for the individual operations.
