NDLEA finds 603.75 kg of cannabis in a container shipped from Montreal at Tin-Can Island Port

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency reported that a container examined at Tin-Can Island Port in Lagos on 16 September 2026 held 603.75 kilograms of cannabis in 31 jumbo bags concealed inside two vehicles. The agency said the container had been shipped from Montreal and had arrived on 12 September 2026, and put the street value of the consignment at 1,811,250,000 naira. It described the consignment as Canadian Loud, which it called a synthetic strain of cannabis.
