Armed Police Force seizes 157.207 kg of cannabis at Aurahi in Siraha

Onlinekhabar reported that a mobile patrol from the Armed Police Force Nepal No. 7 Battalion headquarters in Siraha seized 157 kg and 207 g of cannabis in the border area of Ittatar in Aurahi Rural Municipality ward 4 at about 1.35 am on Wednesday 9 September 2026. According to the Armed Police the consignment was being carried on the heads of people moving towards India, who fled on sighting the patrol and abandoned it, so no arrests were made. The patrol took the cannabis into custody and began handing it to the authorities responsible for further investigation. The battalion commander, SP Suman Jung Thapa, said patrolling and surveillance in the border area had been strengthened.
