Three Indian nationals arrested at Kathmandu airport with 11 kg of cannabis carried from Thailand

A team from the Narcotics Control Bureau at Koteshwar arrested three Indian nationals at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu on the night of 1 August 2026 over 11 kg of cannabis carried from Thailand. Two of the men, Sonu (30) and Jagroop Singh (23), both residents of Punjab, arrived on a Cathay Pacific flight from Thailand transiting through Hong Kong; the third, Sahil (22), of Haryana, had come to the airport to receive the consignment.
