The report said the operation was led by the inspector in charge of Dhupguri police station and the officer in charge of the Daukimari outpost. Police went first to Purba Daukimari and Madhya Khattimari, where the report said about 70 fully grown cannabis plants were found on various plots and destroyed on the spot. A second raid followed at Kalar Khas in Jhar Alta No. 2 gram panchayat, where the report said more cultivation was found and the plants were cut and burned, without giving a count. The report said the plot owners left the area when police arrived.
