Kerala cannabis found adrift off Kalpitiya

Personnel of the Northwestern Naval Command recovered approximately 90 kg (wet weight) of Kerala cannabis adrift in the sea area of Kappaladi, Kalpitiya. Inshore Patrol Craft detected three polythene sacks containing 30 parcels of Kerala cannabis floating in the water. The consignment is believed to have been abandoned by smugglers unable to complete the delivery due to naval patrols.
