Yili border police eradicate more than 50,000 wild cannabis plants at abandoned courtyards, Xinjiang

Officers from the Qiaokuer border police station of the Yili Border Management Detachment reported finding and eradicating more than 50,000 wild cannabis plants growing around abandoned courtyards in the station's area of responsibility. Police described the stand as growing naturally rather than planted. The operation was reported on 22 June 2023. The coordinate given is the Yining centroid, since Qiaokuer could not be located as a settlement.
