Hunan police report Leiyang's first illegal cannabis cultivation case, 31 plants found in a rented room

Leiyang Municipal Public Security Bureau reported that officers from Caizichi police station found 31 cannabis plants growing in 14 pots inside a tented enclosure in a rented room, lit by halogen lamps. Police said the occupant had ordered seed online and grown the plants for personal use, and described it as the first illegal cannabis cultivation case recorded in Leiyang. The arrest was made on 11 June 2017.
