Collection and locality
The old label reads Y-nan, N° 342, Cannabis – cultivé and the initials E.E.M.; the museum label reads Herbarium Musei Parisiensis, Chine: Yunnan and leg. E.E. Maire.[2]

The sheet carries a single stem with a dense top of fruiting clusters among leaves of narrow leaflets. A broad, entire leaf of another plant lies loose at the foot of the sheet.[2] The catalogue names the plant Cannabis sativa L.[1] Maire's other gatherings are Maire 1828 (by 1906), from near Yun-nan-sen, and Maire s.n., Dongchuan (s.d.), from the plain of Tong-tchouan.
