Template:Seed lot

A seed lot is one holder's physical holding of one accession's seed at one storage site. This template records a lot on its own page, titled Lot:<accession ID>/<site code>: a backup, a portion passed on, or any holder's seed that is not the main lot recorded on the accession page. Use Form:Seed lot to create one. The holder's main lot is recorded on the accession page itself (see Template:Accession); both kinds store the same properties, so every list reads them together.

The template stores the lot's fields, works out the lot's seed lot reading through Module:Seed lot and Module:Grow-out priority, and shows the lot, its reading and its reports. The page is filed in Category:Seed lots.

Fields

Empty means not known, everywhere. Nothing is filled in for a missing value.

Field	Property	What to enter
accession	Property:Is lot of	The accession page whose seed this is, e.g. RSC-AFG-BAL-0120190001. Required.
holder	Property:Has lot holder	The organisation or person holding the lot: their page title where they have one.
lot_role	Property:Has lot role	main, safety duplicate or distributed portion (a buyer's or a genebank's holding of the same seed, not regrown).
duplicate_of	Property:Is safety duplicate of	For a safety duplicate: the lot it backs up. An accession ID means that accession's main lot; a Lot: title means that lot.
site	Property:Has storage site	An opaque code for the storage site, unique for the holder: <holder code>-1, -2. Never a town or an address (see the Privacy policy). It is also the end of the page title.
site_country	Property:Has storage country	The country where the lot is stored.
backup_distance	Property:Has backup distance	How far the lot is from the nearest other copy of the same population: same site, same town, other town or other country.
distance_measured_from	Property:Has distance measured from	The copy that distance is measured from (an accession ID for its main lot, or a Lot: title).
received_date	Property:Has lot received date	When the holder got the seed, or harvested it for its own regrow: yyyy-mm-dd.
original_kept	Property:Has original sample kept	Seeds of the original set aside and not counted as usable (a number).
handed_out	Property:Is handed out	sold, swapped, given (several separated by ", "), or no.
backup_status	Property:Has backup status	confirmed none when the holder states there is no backup. Leave empty otherwise: a backup is shown by a safety-duplicate lot pointing at this one.
lot_status	Property:Has lot status	held or gone; with lot_status_date (Property:Has lot status date) and, for a lot gone, gone_reason (Property:Has gone reason: used up or dead).
lot_source	Property:Has lot source	Where the lot's figures come from: holder report, holder catalogue, genebank record or editor.
inventory		A run of Template:Lot inventory calls, one per count.
germination_tests		A run of Template:Lot germination test calls, one per test.
