Border

The border is the municipality of Rovira (OpenStreetMap relation 1342090; DIVIPOLA code 73624), simplified; about 740 km². The point in the infobox is the centre of the border, not a field.

Sources

  • The status is Active: the Ministry of Defence lists marijuana eradicated in the municipality from 2009 to 2015. These rows are the only report of a crop in Rovira found so far; no press report of a field there was found, and the dataset gives no vereda.
  • The Ministry of Defence's eradication dataset lists, for Rovira with crop type marihuana: 11 rows, 5 May 2009 to 1 August 2015, 24.75 hectares (downloaded 20 October 2026). The figures on the page are sums of those rows.
  • The police statement of November 2017 is about a seizure on the road: it says where the police believed the load came from, and names no crop or grower. It is given on the page as the police's statement. The University of Tolima bulletin reads Rovira as a route for marijuana from the west (p. 31); both readings are given.
  • Not used: a seizure near El Totumo in February 2024 that the police said came from Cauca; the opium poppy destroyed in Rovira in 1995 and the 2015 poppy figures (poppy is not cannabis).
