Evidentiary scope

The article rests on the RSC listing for Hmong Ganja, the Kwik Seeds listing of the same line and RSC's blog post "Cannabis & the Hmong: Hemp vs Ganja" (April 2023). Kwik Seeds is the shop RSC calls its other site (RSC, Hemp & Multipurpose). The listings name Bolikhamsai Province and a Hmong household, date the sourcing to 2024 and name no village. The account of Hmong migration and of hemp and ganja is RSC's; it has not been checked against other sources, and the article attributes it. Georeferencing

The listings name Bolikhamsai Province and the northern Annamite Range but no district or village; RSC gives a latitude of 18° N. The coordinate is the label point of Bolikhamsai Province in OpenStreetMap (relation 5831655), rounded to two decimal places: 18.58, 104.15, in Viengthong District. Editorial treatment

• Accession ID. RSC-LAO-BOL-0120240002: BOL for Bolikhamsai Province, month 01 because the listing gives none, and serial 0002 after Highland Lao #6, the other 2024 line from the province, in RSC's listing order.
• Collector. Angus, as on the other accessions RSC sourced itself. The household is not named, so no farmer is entered.
• Chemotype. "High THC" is entered as RSC states it; no test figure is given.
• Vocabulary mapping. "Narrow leaflets" is entered as leaf shape Narrow. "Classic tropical Sativa morphology" is treated like "Sativa-type architecture": growth pattern Christmas tree, the provisional RSC convention discussed on Talk:RSC-LAO-CHA-0120240001.
• Conventions. Photoperiod Short-day and introgression Minimal follow the other RSC accessions; neither listing states them.

Conservation priority

High. RSC says the line is "cultivated by a Hmong household", a single household, and that ganja is a recent crop in Hmong villages, acquired through contact with Lao and Thai neighbours. Champasak, also from one household, is rated High. Source discrepancies

• Location. RSC: "in Bolikhamsai Province in the northern Annamite Range of Laos"; "a large, potent and aromatic variety cultivated for production of bud". Kwik Seeds: "in Bolikhamsai Province, Laos"; "cultivated for bud in the central highland region of Laos".
• Height. RSC: "Up to c. 4 metres". Kwik Seeds: "Up to 4 metres".
• Wording. The two listings tell the migration history in slightly different words, with the same content.
• Blog post and listing. The April 2023 post reports that Hmong villagers in Bolikhamsai had tried growing ganja without success. Archived versions

The Wayback Machine holds six versions of the RSC listing, from July 2024 to May 2026, and all were read. All give the 2024 sourcing.

• Only the July 2024 version has a classification line, "Cannabis sativa subsp. indica var. indica", which the article cites.
• The sentence describing a large, potent and aromatic variety grown for bud first appears in May 2026.
