Evidentiary scope
The catalogue gives a collector, a number, a date and a locality. It is a single gathering and shows neither a continuing population nor a living germplasm holding, so it supports neither a landrace nor a feral classification. The accession is classified Other. No conservation priority is assigned.
The Botanical Database of Southern Africa publishes no image of this sheet. Its image count is zero, and so is the image count of all 1,361,966 rows in the database: the store is empty, and SANBI's own site still lists plant images among its plans. The accession carries no image until the herbarium supplies a scan.
Georeferencing
The coordinate is coarser than a quarter-degree square: BODATSA records its accuracy as 1dg. The point is carried on the ruling of 23 September 2026, but it locates the gathering within a region, not a site.
A one-degree accuracy is about 110 km. BODATSA nonetheless stores the quarter-degree code 2528CA against the entry, so the two fields disagree about how well the gathering is placed.
Editorial treatment
BODATSA writes a PRE accession number into the collector-number field of this entry. PRE 52593 is the herbarium's own number for the sheet, not a number the collector gave the gathering, and the collector-number field carries it as the database has it. Nine Cannabis entries in BODATSA do the same.
The locality is in Afrikaans and is quoted rather than translated in the locality field; the article gives an English rendering alongside it.
