Evidentiary scope

The label gives the place, the date, the number and the collectors. It names no habitat, use or note on cultivation. The accession is classified Other and no conservation priority is assigned.

Label reading

Read twice, independently, from the Chinese Virtual Herbarium's image of the sheet (PE 00761619, 1,037 × 1,440 pixels).

  • Field form (printed INSTITUTE OF BOTANY / NATIONAL ACADEMY OF PEIPING / FLORA OF CHINA): Field No. 2627 and Date 1930 SEP. 4 (purple stamps) / Locality 四川 泥頭 / Collector 黃治平 / 羅正[·] / [·]卓然. The second name's last character and the third name's first were read differently (羅正遠 and 蔣卓然 in one reading) and are left open.
  • Tag (card): 2627 and a pencilled line in brackets, not read.
  • Determination slip. Cannabis sativa Linn. / Det. Cao Zi-yu 2004.1.
  • Stamps. Two province stamps, YUNNAN and SZECHUAN; herbarium stamp of the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences; stamped number 616932.

The two readings agree on the number (one gave 2637 as possible), the date, the place and the first collector.

Georeferencing

No point is given: 泥頭 (simplified 泥头, Nitou) was not found. It was searched in OpenStreetMap within Sichuan as 泥头, 泥頭 and Nitou, and in Wikidata: the nearest name found is Nibatou (泥坝头), a hamlet in Hejiang County, which is a different name. The province field takes Sichuan, from the label's 四川.

Editorial treatment

Collectors and title. The collector field and the title take the first name on the label, 黃治平, romanised Huang in the title. The two other names are given in the label reading as far as they were read. No source on any of the three was found.

Province stamps. The sheet carries both a YUNNAN and a SZECHUAN stamp; the label's 四川 decides.

Image. The Chinese Virtual Herbarium publishes its images under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0, so the page cites each sheet's image and shows none.
