Evidentiary scope
The plant was grown at a government experiment station, so the accession documents an institutional growing rather than a population in the landscape. Its value is the label: it names the plant Dagga, describes the habit, and pairs with the male sheet of four weeks earlier. The catalogue gives a collector, a number, a date and a locality. It is a single gathering and shows neither a continuing population nor a living germplasm holding, so it supports neither a landrace nor a feral classification. The accession is classified Other. No conservation priority is assigned.
Georeferencing
No catalogue gives a coordinate for any of the three sheets and none is asserted. The station is in Pretoria.
Editorial treatment
The collector's number is read from the label. The Paris catalogue leaves the field empty; Meise and Naturalis both give 8506, and the card on the Paris sheet shows it.
