Evidentiary scope

The catalogue records the plant as cultivated at Bab Taza in June 2008: cultivo sobre substrato silìceo. That places cannabis under cultivation in the Talassemtane area at that date. It records no use, no local name, no height and no variety. The accession is classified Other and no conservation priority is assigned.

No image of the sheet has been published, through GBIF, the Spanish GBIF node or the herbarium (whose own catalogue was not answering in October 2026), so the label has not been read.

Georeferencing

The coordinate is the catalogue's own, 35.0906, −5.16, entered here as 35.09, −5.16. The longitude is given to two decimal places only, about half a kilometre either way. The point lies inside both the Bab Taza commune and the Talassemtane National Park as mapped in OpenStreetMap, about 4.7 kilometres from the commune's point on Wikidata. The 30-metre SRTM elevation model gives between about 1,220 and 1,320 metres across the rounding interval. The label records no altitude, so no elevation is entered.

The catalogue's province code is TO. The Spanish GBIF node flags it as inconsistent with the coordinate, and the code is not explained in the dataset. The province entered here, Chefchaouen Province, is the one the point lies in.

Editorial treatment

The title takes the first-named collector and the number, as the catalogue gives them. The number's prefix AQ may be the initials of A. Quintanar, the second collector; the same team's sheets also carry a JC series. Neither is explained in the catalogue, so the title follows the order of names.

The collectors are given as the catalogue gives them. A. Quintanar was the collection manager of the Madrid herbarium from 2007. J. Calvo is not expanded, because no source read for this page identifies him.

Talasetmane is the catalogue's spelling of Talassemtane, and silìceo (with a grave accent) is the catalogue's spelling of silíceo; both are quoted as published.
