Evidentiary scope

The typed label gives the place as NE: Loei, Phu Luang and the date as Sept.5,1966, and describes the plant as a Herb, common in plantation. Flowers white. (a herb, common in a plantation, flowers white). The collector is K. Bunchuai. The words fit a crop and a weed in a crop alike: they do not say what the plantation grew, or whether this plant was sown there or came up among other plants. The label gives no local name and no use. The accession is classified Unknown. The gathering shows no continuing population and no living germplasm holding. No conservation priority is assigned.

Georeferencing

The label names Phu Luang, a mountain, without an altitude. Naturalis georeferences the Leiden sheet to 17.12402, 101.50895, which reverse-geocodes to Phu Luang District and stands at 1,349 m on SRTM. The infobox gives the holding institution's georeference, rounded to 17.12, 101.51. It marks the mountain Naturalis recorded, not a collection point on it, and the label gives no altitude to test it against. An earlier version of this note, of 18 September 2026, gave no coordinates.

Editorial treatment

The three sheets are one gathering: they carry the same printed label, number, date and accession number.

The accession is filed under the Leiden sheet because the three labels are identical and Leiden publishes its image under CC0; the Forest Herbarium publishes its images with all rights reserved. The two Forest Herbarium sheets are listed in the article.

The pencilled L K P C E AAH reads as the Index Herbariorum codes of Leiden, Kew, Paris, Copenhagen, Edinburgh and the Arnold Arboretum. Read that way, it lists the herbaria that received duplicates. Leiden's sheet is one of them. Only the letters are quoted in the article.
