Evidentiary scope
The catalogue places the plant in cultivation in the Calcutta botanic garden. A botanic-garden plant sits outside the four classes, and the accession is classified Other. It says nothing about where the garden's seed came from, about local cultivation or about plants growing outside the garden. It does not establish a continuing population, and no conservation priority is assigned.
Georeferencing
The catalogue's Hort. Bot. Cal. names the garden, and the coordinate is the garden itself in OpenStreetMap (way 52097541), 22.56, 88.29, as on Buchanan-Hamilton 2182 (1815). The herbarium's own point, 22.5667, 88.3, is a GeoNames look-up of Calcutta with an uncertainty of 25 km; it lies 1.45 km from the garden's point, and the page carries the garden, the finer of the two. The garden's outline reaches 1.3 km from the point; the uncertainty takes that in, with 1 km added for the rounding. Basis: settlement point. Uncertainty: about 2 km.
Editorial treatment
Title. The catalogue names no collector and gives no number and no date, so the title takes Anon., s.n. and s.d. under the house rule, with the garden as the locality. A retitle is an ordinary move if the label is published and names a collector or a date.
Image. The herbarium publishes no image of the sheet. The page's values are its catalogue's.
