Surapat 316 is a herbarium accession of Cannabis sativa collected in Bangkok, Thailand, on 4 May 1959 by Pranee Surapat. Collection and locality
The typed label of the Herbarium of Indiana University reads Bangkok, Thailand. and gives the collector, number and date as Pranee Surapat 316 and May 4, 1959.[3] It gives no altitude and no habitat.
Specimen and identification
The label names the plant Cannabis sativa L. and adds the common names Hemp, Marijuana.[3] The sheet carries two leafy, flowering shoots. The female sign is written above the label. Moraceae is pencilled beside it.[3]
