Soejarto 4236 is a herbarium accession of Cannabis sativa gathered in Medellín, in Antioquia, Colombia, on 20 August 1973 by Djaja D. Soejarto. Two sheets of the gathering are held in the herbarium of the University of Antioquia (HUA) in Medellín as HUA 530 and HUA 532.[1][2]
Collection and locality
The herbarium's catalogue gives the place as Medellín, the altitude as 1,500 m and the date as 20 August 1973 for both sheets, and enters the collector as Soejarto D.[1][2] The Missouri Botanical Garden's Tropicos database lists the same number under Djaja D. Soejarto, Medellín, 1973.[3]
Field observations
The catalogue transcribes the label's description as Slender shrub 1 m tall and the name as Marihuana.[1] The label itself reads Slender shrub, 1m tall, lateral branches short, flowers pale green. "Marihuana". and adds Plant cultivated in Medellin, alt. 1500 m.[4][5]
