Humla Jungli General Population 2021 is a feral landrace cannabis accession collected in October 2021 in Humla District, Nepal, listed as Humla Jungli in the seed catalogue of The Real Seed Company (RSC).[1] RSC classifies it as a feral Himalayan landrace of intermediate domestication.[1] The seed RSC sells comes from an ex situ maintenance grow of this collection and is recorded at 2021 RSC Humla Jungli Feral Reproduction.[1] The Real Seed Company offers the line for sale on its Kwik Seeds site (checked 17 October 2026).[2]
Geography
RSC describes the source as very remote mountains in far-west Nepal, on one of the main pilgrimage trails to Mount Kailash, the sacred peak said to be the home of Shiva and Parvati. It gives a latitude of about 30° N.[1]
According to RSC, uncultivated cannabis grows profusely along some stretches of the route from Humla toward the Tibetan border. It grows particularly on disturbed ground below the tracks and roads that follow the mountainside above the Karnali River. RSC reports a form of Datura with vivid blue flowers growing alongside these plants.[1]
Collection Details
The listing gives the sourcing as The Real Seed Company, Humla, Nepali Himalaya (winter 2021). RSC states that the original collection was made in October 2021.[1] According to RSC, the original seeds came from an ethnically Tibetan householder who was hand-rubbing wild-growing stands to make charas.[1] The Kwik Seeds listing of the same line, on the shop RSC calls its other site,[3] gives the same sourcing and account.[4]
Cultivation Details
Botanical Characteristics
RSC gives a height of 1 to 4 metres and describes the plants as hardy and resinous.[1] It reports a very compact structure in the vegetative stage, with eight leaf sets within 15 centimetres. It also reports about sixfold stretch in a 5-gallon pot and profuse branching.[1] According to RSC, bud density varies from loose to quite dense, and resin production can be excellent, with a high density of resin glands.[1] The Kwik Seeds listing adds long internodes to the line's characteristics.[4]
Aroma
RSC lists floral, fruity, citrus, mango and "hash" aromas.[1]
