Nanakorn 8642 is a herbarium accession of Cannabis sativa collected in Doi Chiang Dao National Park, Chiang Dao District, Chiang Mai Province, northern Thailand, on 19 February 1999 by W. Nanakorn and colleagues. The Forest Herbarium (BKF) in Bangkok holds the gathering on two sheets under accession BKF 233995, barcodes SN 262600 and SN 262601.[1][2]
Collection and locality
SN 262600 carries the printed Flora of Thailand label of the Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden Herbarium (QBG), number 8642. It gives the locality as Doi Chiang Dao National Park, Chiang Dao district, Chiang Mai Province, the collector as W. Nanakorn et al. 8642 and the date as 19/2/1999. It leaves the local name, altitude and note blank.[3] SN 262601 carries the Forest Herbarium's Flora of Thailand label with the same locality, collector and number; its date is written on the line for the determination.[4] The two sheets are pencilled sheet 1/2 and sheet 2/2.[3][4]
Specimen and identification
Both labels name the family Cannabaceae and the plant Cannabis sativa L.[3][4] No determiner is named. The catalogue records the plant as Cannabis sativa L. and the date as 19 February 1999.[1] Bunchuai 1208 is an earlier cannabis gathering from Doi Chiang Dao.
