NPG X18 (Cider Kush) IBL is a seed accession of an inbred cannabis line said to descend from Pakistani Hindu Kush stock, held by the U.S. National Plant Germplasm System (NPGS) as G 33771. Angus donated the seed, and the system received it on 22 August 2023.[1] The donor's note describes the seed as a Spanish continuation of Tom Hill's X18, a true-breeding line said to have been bred from a landrace of the Pakistani Hindu Kush that reached northern California in the 1980s, and believed never to have been crossed with anything else.[1]
The plants
According to the note, the Spanish line has two main forms: a sour one with a strong smell of apple cider, and a sweet one smelling of sweets, pear, apple and grape.[1]
