Johnston 877 is a herbarium accession of Cannabis sativa collected at Mooi River in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, on 19 March 1902 by H. H. Johnston. The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh holds the sheet as E01459341.[1][2] It is the female plant of a pair; Johnston 508 is the male.
The label
The sheet is stamped HERBARIUM OF COL. H. H. JOHNSTON. The handwritten label reads 877 Cannabis sativa followed by the female sign, then (Urticaceae) Same as no 508. and Mooi River, Natal, 19th March 1902. H. H. Johnston. A pencilled ORD 153 sits at the lower left, as on the male sheet.[2]
