Dieterlen 115 is a herbarium accession of Cannabis sativa gathered by A. Dieterlen at Léribé, today Leribe or Hlotse, in Lesotho, on a date the catalogues do not give. The Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle in Paris holds a sheet as P06829891, and the National Herbarium in Pretoria a second sheet of the same number, PRE0372448-0.[1][2][3]
Collection and locality
The museum's catalogue gives the collector as Dieterlen, A., the number 115 and the locality Léribé, Basoutoland. It records the habitat as Champs, décombres (et cultivé) (fields, rubble, and cultivated) and the plant as Fleur jaune. Hauteur 6-15 d. (yellow flower; height 6 to 15 decimetres).[2] The Pretoria catalogue gives the same collector and number and the locality LERIBE.[3]
Specimen and identification
Both catalogues file the plant as Cannabis sativa L. The Paris catalogue records that leaf tissue was taken from its sheet in March 2021 for C. J. Grassa of Harvard University.[2][3]
