The catalogue gives the artefact name and the parts held as Sandal cord of plaited hemp, the plant name as 153.04 CANNABACEAE Cannabis sativa, the use as MATERIALS - Fibres with the user Man, the country as Japan, the geography description as Yokohama, Japan, the storage as Bottles, boxes etc, the entry book number as 24.1898 and the donor as Bullock TL. The object
Kew's photographs show a single length of pale cord, plaited from three strands, laid in loose loops and frayed at both ends. A second photograph shows the cord beside Kew's typed label, which repeats the catalogue number, the plant name and the object's name, and gives the place as Yokohama.[3]
