Anon. 29 is a herbarium accession of Cannabis sativa collected at Beidaihe (北戴河, then Peitaiho, Beidaihe), in Hebei, China, in July 1946, with no collector named. The Chinese Academy of Forestry in Beijing holds the sheet as CAF00006527[1].
Collection and locality
The sheet carries a printed specimen label of the herbarium of the Forestry Research Institute of the Ministry of Forestry (林業部林業科學研究所), headed 森林植物标本籤 (forest plant specimen label), completed by hand. It gives the family Moraceae and 桑科, the collecting number 29, the name Cannabis sativa L. and 大麻, the place 河北北戴河 (Beidaihe, Hebei) and the date 1946.7 (July 1946); the collector's and determiner's lines are blank. A tag tied to the stem reads No 29, P.T.B. and Cannabis sativa L.[2] The catalogue gives the number, the year and Hebei, with no collector.[1]
Specimen and identification
The sheet carries one slender young plant with its roots, small leaves of three to five serrate leaflets and a few small flowers at its tip. The label names it Cannabis sativa L., with no determiner.[2] The Chinese Virtual Herbarium publishes its sheet images under a non-commercial, no-derivatives licence (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0); they are read and cited here, not reproduced.
