The open database for landrace cannabis populations, their genetics and the traditional knowledge that sustains them.
This comprehensive wiki is maintained by researchers, cultivators, and conservationists dedicated to preserving traditional cannabis knowledge. We document landrace genetics, cultivation practices, and preservation efforts across Asia and globally. We welcome contributions from the community, simply create a login to make edits or contact us through our project page to collaborate.
We are witnessing the rapid disappearance of traditional cultivation knowledge and genetic diversity in cannabis. Globalization has led to the dominance of commercial hybrid strains, while ancient regional varieties face extinction. These landrace populations represent thousands of years of natural and human selection, containing unique genetic traits and chemical profiles. In this critical moment, could systematic documentation and conservation efforts serve as a bridge—preserving irreplaceable genetic heritage while supporting traditional communities and advancing our understanding of this remarkable plant?
