Usage
Inline cleanup tag. Place immediately after a citation whose source is too weak to carry the claim and should be replaced with a more reliable one.
...claim.<ref>vendor product page</ref>{{Better source}}
Renders as a superscript [better source needed] linking to Landrace.Wiki:Better source.
Date
Optional. Records when the tag was added.
{{Better source|date=May 2026}}
When to use
The cited source supports the claim but is not reliable enough to carry it: a seed vendor product page, a forum post, an undated self-published blog, or any source where a peer-reviewed paper, primary historical document or recognised reference work should stand instead.
When not to use
- No citation at all. Use Template:Citation needed.
- A citation that probably does not support the claim beside it. Use Template:Verify source.
- Unsourced synthesis or interpretation. Use Template:Original research.
