Border

The region is the southern region of Thailand's six-region system (regions of Thailand): the provinces of Chumphon, Krabi, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Narathiwat, Pattani, Phang Nga, Phatthalung, Phuket, Ranong, Satun, Songkhla, Surat Thani, Trang and Yala. Its border on the map follows the OpenStreetMap boundaries of those provinces, with the islands, simplified. Before October 2026 the page named Chumphon, Surat Thani and Nakhon Si Thammarat only, and Bang Saphan, in Prachuap Khiri Khan, was filed here; it now belongs to Western Thailand.

Sources

  • The label of the Forest Herbarium sheet SN 009261 (Suvarnakoses 213, 1951) is transcribed from the sheet image.
  • The Thansettakij (2021) and Daily News (2023) reports are in Thai; the Pattaya Mail report is also cited.
  • No source found describes cannabis grown in the region between 1951 and 2019. Nothing was found for Krabi, Narathiwat, Pattani, Phang Nga, Phatthalung, Ranong, Satun or Songkhla.

Not used

  • A seed-seller's line from Ko Samui is filed under the region by its pin on a map; the page does not discuss it.
  • Seed lots bought from a grower in Trang under the names of lines from other places are not filed under the region.
