Discussion
Evidentiary scope
The label gives a name, a place, a number and a day. It gives no habitat, no use and no note on cultivation. The accession is classified Other. A single gathering does not establish a landrace or a continuing population, and no conservation priority is assigned.
Label reading
Read twice, independently, from Naturalis's image (1075 × 1920 pixels). Both readings agree on the printed FLORA OF ASSAM., Name Cannabis sativa, L., Locality Jetukai, No. 11193, Date 24th April 1895, the blank Alt. … feet. and the printed foot. One reading gives the day with low confidence; the catalogue's 24 April 1895 agrees with the other. A stamp reads 200640.
Georeferencing
No point is given. Jetukai was not found in OpenStreetMap (Nominatim, under Jetukai, Jetukaigaon, Jethukai, Jatukai gaon and Jatukia, alone and with Assam or Sibsagar), in Wikidata, or in a full-text search of English Wikipedia, Wikisource and Commons; an Overpass search of Assam by name gave no result. GeoNames could not be queried. The name may be a village too small for these gazetteers, or a spelling none of them uses. The province is Assam, as the label says, too large for an area point.
Editorial treatment
Title and collector. The label names no person: it gives the office, the Reporter on Economic Products to the Government of India. The title takes the office, as the catalogue does; the collector field, which names people, is left empty. George Watt became the first Reporter on Economic Products when the post was created in 1887, and left Indian service in 1906; the label does not say whether he or one of his collectors gathered the plant, and the page does not name him as collector.
Number. The number 11193 is printed on the label's No. line and is the collector number.
