Evidentiary scope

The article rests on the RSC listing for Gorkha Nepali. An RSC blog post of 12 May 2025 and the Kwik Seeds listing repeat its text. Kwik Seeds is the shop RSC calls its other site (RSC, Hemp & Multipurpose). The listing names Barpak as the village and gives winter 2024 as the date. It names no farmer. Its sourcing line now reads "Gorkha Nepal"; the archived versions read "Northern Kumaon" (below). It establishes that RSC sourced seed of a multipurpose population in Barpak. The coordinate is the position of Barpak village in OpenStreetMap (node 3386580344), rounded to two decimal places: 28.20, 84.74. It marks the village RSC names, not a field. OpenStreetMap places Barpak in Sulikot, Gorkha District, Gandaki Province.

Editorial treatment

• Accession ID. RSC-NPL-GAN-0120240001 takes GAN from Gandaki Province and uses NPL, the ISO 3166-1 code for Nepal. The month digits are 01, as on the other RSC accessions, because "winter 2024" gives no month.
• Collector. Angus, following the other accessions RSC sourced itself.
• Primary purpose. Entered as Multipurpose, RSC's own label for the type. The three uses (culinary seed, fibre and charas) are given in the prose.
• Dates. The listing gives "Winter 2024" for the sourcing without calling it a harvest date, so no sample harvest date is entered. The harvest window "late-September to early November" is entered as Late September to Early November.
• Spelling. The listing spells the yogi's name "Goraknath"; the article uses the usual form Gorakhnath, which RSC's blog post also uses.

Source discrepancies

• Sourcing line. RSC now: "The Real Seed Company, Gorkha Nepal (Winter 2024)". Kwik Seeds: "The Real Seed Company, Gorkha, Nepal (Winter 2024)".
• Archived versions. The Wayback Machine holds four versions of the RSC listing, from June 2025 to April 2026, and all were read. Each gives the sourcing as "The Real Seed Company, Northern Kumaon (Winter 2024)". Each also places the collection in Barpak, "roughly 50 km north of the town of Gorkha", as the current listing does. Kumaon lies in Uttarakhand, India, not in Nepal. The listings do not explain the difference.
