Discussion
Evidentiary scope
The article rests on the RSC listing for Iranian #3, the Kwik Seeds listing of the same line and RSC's October 2019 blog post on Kushman. Kwik Seeds is the shop RSC calls its other site (RSC, Hemp & Multipurpose). The listings say only that the seed was collected in Iran from the winter 2022 harvest. They name no region, village or farmer and give no latitude. The conservation priority is Medium; the basis is below. Éloise 13:42, 17 September 2026 (+07)
Georeferencing
The listings name only Iran. The current RSC listing has no latitude line, and versions from March 2023 to June 2024 gave the latitude as "Unknown". So that the accession appears on the map, the coordinate is the label point of Iran in OpenStreetMap (relation 304938, label node 424298311), rounded to two decimal places: 32.65, 54.56. OpenStreetMap places the point in Ardakan County, Yazd Province. It marks the country, not a collection site, so the province field stays blank and the region code is UNK. Editorial treatment
- Accession ID.
RSC-IRN-UNK-0120220001:UNKbecause the listings name no province. Iranian #2, also 2022, isRSC-IRN-SIS-0120220001; serials count separately for each region code. - Collector, purposes and photoperiod. As on Iranian (see Talk:RSC-IRN-UNK-0120190001). "Charas (dry-sieved resin)" is entered as
Dry-sift. - Harvest. October to early November, the fuller range, from the versions of October 2024 to October 2025 (see below).
- Effects. "Good potency" (RSC) and "Potent" (Kwik Seeds) are entered as the effect "Potent".
- Not entered. Height, which neither listing gives, and seed viability.
- Conventions. Introgression
Minimalfollows the other RSC accessions; neither listing states it. Éloise 13:42, 17 September 2026 (+07)
Conservation priority
Medium. A 2022 collection from Iran through the collector Kushman, one of RSC's three Iranian accessions. Neither listing states rarity or names a region. RSC states no conservation priority of its own, so the rating is the wiki's, on the four values it uses for accessions: Critical, High, Medium and Low. Éloise 21:05, 17 September 2026 (+07)
Source discrepancies
- Purpose. RSC: "Charas (dry-sieved resin), bhang". Kwik Seeds: "Charas (sieved resin), bhang", RSC's line until June 2024.
- Genetics line. RSC: "Iranian Cannabis Landrace". Kwik Seeds: "Iranian".
- Only on RSC. The harvest, aroma and characteristics lines, the resin description and the note on the photographs. Kwik Seeds gives the aromas in its description.
The listings do not explain the differences. The article uses both and attributes each. Éloise 13:42, 17 September 2026 (+07)
Archived versions
The Wayback Machine holds 12 versions of the RSC listing, from March 2023 to May 2026, and all were read. All give the 2022 harvest.
- From March 2023 to June 2024 the listing gave latitude, harvest, height, aroma, characteristics and classification as "Unknown". It reported "approx. 100% viability" until April 2025. The resin, aroma and harvest lines first appear in October 2024.
- The harvest was "October to early November" from October 2024 to October 2025 and has been "October" since February 2026. The article cites the versions of 4 October 2024 and 8 October 2025.
- "Compelling scents", the retest note and the note that the plants shown are outdoors in North America first appear in July 2025.
- The sourcing line read "Kushman, Iran, 2022 Harvest" until April 2025 and has had the current form since July 2025. Éloise 13:42, 17 September 2026 (+07)
Photographs
The infobox image and the gallery are the five photographs on the RSC listing, uploaded under fair use at reduced resolution. RSC states that "The plants shown are outdoors in North America", so the captions of the whole-plant photographs give that place. Two are close views of resin glands. Kwik Seeds shows a byte-identical copy of the infobox photograph. The March 2023 version of the listing showed a photograph of seed instead. Éloise 13:42, 17 September 2026 (+07)
