What the name refers to
- A Toribío grower told El Espectador that the name comes from the colour of the stem; the infobox gives no separate meaning.
- The sources pull two ways. One interview (2017) and the 2025 CESED study place patimorada among the creepy types; two other interviews count it with the older native varieties.
- The CESED figures (90 per cent of crops, 18.5 per cent THC) come from a small qualitative sample and are given as the study's and its informants'.
