Name

His papers and the Library of Congress and German National Library authority records give Mahmoud A. ElSohly; older papers spell the surname Elsohly or El-Sohly, and the hearing transcript El Sohly. No source read spells out the middle initial, so the title keeps it. His date and place of birth are not given in any source read.

When he joined the project

In his testimony of 2005 he said he came to Mississippi as a postdoctoral fellow in 1975 and began work on the marijuana project in 1976 as a research associate. The university's release of 2013 agrees. The university's history of the project lists him under 1973 as joining the project as a postdoctoral research associate. The article gives both.

Director from 1981

The university's history and its releases of 2013 and 2018 date his directorship of the project to 1981. Some web profiles say 1980.

The transcript

The transcript on the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies site runs the page and line numbers into the text. At one point it reads Massachusetts where the sense is Mississippi. Page numbers in the article are the transcript's own.
