Evidentiary scope

The sheet bears the printed Mission Em. et M. LAURENT label of 1903-1904, is dated 18 November 1903 in manuscript and is annotated as a female plant. The place is Butala, and the sheet carries no collector number. It gives no elevation, habitat, local name or statement of use, and its georeference is unconfirmed. Nothing on it shows whether the plant was cultivated, grew wild or had escaped, so the accession is classified Unknown. It records no continuing population and no living germplasm holding, and no conservation priority is assigned.

Georeferencing

The point -4.13333, 20.91667 is the catalogue's own georeference for Butala, in whole arc-minutes (4°08′ S, 20°55′ E), a point in Kasai. The name is not carried by OpenStreetMap. GeoNames lists one Butala in the country, a village in Mweka territory, Kasai, at −4.120691, 20.89872, 2.4 km from the catalogue's point; the catalogue's point is taken to be that village to the nearest arc-minute.
