How the border is drawn

  • Where this border meets the Western Himalayas border or the border of a neighbouring growing area, the two share one line, drawn once.
  • Since October 2026 the map line stops at 4,000 m (SRTM elevation) rather than 4,100 m; pieces under 25 km² with no accession in them are left out. About 430 km² remain of the 480 km² drawn to 4,100 m.

Accessions from Munsyari down

  • The nine accessions from Munsyari, Harkot, Madkote, Sera, Bata (two) and Bona lie on the Goriganga from Munsyari down. They belong to Gori Valley, the growing area for the lower valley.
  • This border ends on the Goriganga just above the point where the stream from Munsyari town joins it, about 3.5 km north-east of the town (SRTM elevation); the Gori Valley border begins there.
  • The page's map point is the middle of the area, 30.24, 80.22. The point given before, 30.35, 80.05, lay on the ridge west of the valley at about 5,050 m (SRTM), outside the border. Éloise 01:54, 22 October 2026 (+07)
