Evidentiary scope
The catalogue gives a district, a place and a month. It records no habitat, no use and no note on cultivation. The accession is classified Other. A single gathering does not establish a landrace or a continuing population, and no conservation priority is assigned.
Georeferencing
The point -20.78, 27.82 is Embakwe Mission, OpenStreetMap node 4985737901, tagged a village, in Matabeleland South. The catalogue names Embakwe and the district of Bulalima-Mangwe, and nothing within Embakwe. The point places the gathering at the mission, not at a spot near it. Basis: settlement point. Uncertainty: about 4 km.
Editorial treatment
District. The catalogue's Bulalina - Mangwe is the former Bulilimamangwe District, divided after 2000 (English Wikipedia, Bulilima District, Mangwe District). OpenStreetMap still tags Embakwe with the old district. No source read assigns Embakwe to one of the new districts, so the district field is left empty.
Date. The catalogue gives December 1941; the field stores the month.
Image. No image of the sheet was read for this page; its values are the holder's catalogue's. The garden's published image is a 480 × 640 thumbnail; it shows a printed label too small to read, and the full view requires a Tropicos account.
Sources not yet read
The sheet's label at full size: it may carry a number and a habitat line that the catalogue does not give.
