Why the appellation is on the map

  • The Landrace Team's listing Laos (Dak Cheung) gives the line's region as "Dak Cheung district", its sourcing as "Private donor", its latitude as 15° N and the regional harvest as "From late November through February". It is a seed company's statement, attributed in the article. It names no village, no grower and no year.
  • The same listing appears on SeedFinder, which copies the seller's text.
  • No other source read places cannabis growing in the district. The wiki holds no accession from it.

Growing status

The status is left blank. The listing describes the district's harvest season but gives no year when the seed was collected, and no other source dates growing in the district. Image files on the listing were uploaded in February 2020, June 2023 and July 2026, so the line was on sale by early 2020; that dates the listing, not the growing.

Discrepancies in the listing

The listing's summary gives flowering as "18-20 weeks in natural outdoor environment"; its description says the flowering stage lasts "a minimum of 16 to 20 weeks", and SeedFinder gives about 126 days. The article uses the summary figure.

How the border is drawn

  • The border is a proxy, drawn on one administrative unit: Dak Cheung District (OpenStreetMap relation 5831685), about 2,600 km², the figure in the infobox. The seller names the district and nothing smaller, so the district is the smallest unit that holds the statement.
  • The border is not drawn from accession or news points.

The name

The title follows the seller's spelling, Dak Cheung, which is also the usual English form of the district's name. Dakcheung and Dakchung are other spellings of the same name.
