Why Chom Thong is a growing area
- Phengklai T-49897 (1984): Forest Herbarium sheet image read; "Exotic herb in Maeo plantation", around Siriphum waterfall, Doi Inthanon National Park, 1,800 m.
- Maxwell 93-943 (1993): Naturalis sheet image read; home garden near Ban Bah Gluay (Mong village), Mae Sei ridge, Op Luang National Park, district "Jawm Teng" (Chom Thong), 1,450 m; "cultivated for spice, also smoked for narcotic effect".
- The status is Active. The two sheets are from 1984 and 1993; cultivation in the area is known to continue, though no published account after 1993 was found for this page.
Extent and border
- The border is the whole of Chom Thong District (OpenStreetMap), about 1,120 km². Siriphum waterfall, Ban Khun Klang and both stored sheet points fall inside it.
