Year 2016 is the year of the earliest dated document found that lists the line: ACE Seeds' English listing of the product in the Cannabiogen section of its shop, captured by the Wayback Machine on 11 April 2016 (http://www.aceseeds.org/en/brands/cannabiogen/sudafricastd.html). No source gives a collection year, so, as for other vendor accessions without one, the identifier takes the first attested year. A Wayback Machine capture shows when the archive saw a page, not when the line went on sale, so the year is a lower bound and moves if an earlier capture or catalogue is found.

Descriptive name

Cannabiogen's own address for the product, captured in 2018, is https://www.cannabiogen.com/en/SUDAFRICA-83.html. ACE Seeds sold it as "SudÁfrica Standard" in Spanish and "South African Standard" in English. The descriptive name takes the Spanish product name, Sudáfrica.

Sourcing

ACE Seeds' listings in the Cannabiogen section of its shop, read from Wayback Machine captures: in English of 11 April 2016 and in Spanish of 10 July 2016. The Spanish version gives the same account, calls Vibes Collective an old forum, and names two of its members by their forum handles; the handles are not used.

Cannabiogen's own product address, captured on 29 April 2018, renders only the site's empty product template, with no product on it, so no page of Cannabiogen's own describing the line was read. The description is ACE Seeds' listing of a Cannabiogen product and is attributed to ACE Seeds. No collector, farmer, collection site or collection date is named, and no independent source for the line's origin was found.

Typing

Classification: Other. Cannabiogen's account of the line is its own and is attributed in the article; a vendor listing does not establish the class of the source population.
Sourcing type: Unknown provenance. The listing gives no chain of custody from the source population to the seed on sale.
Accession type is left empty: the listing does not say whether the seed on sale was the bag seed itself or later generations grown from it. It types the product "LANDRACE STRAIN" (in Spanish, "VARIEDAD PURA"); that is ACE Seeds' label and is not adopted.
Cultivation status: Unknown. Cannabiogen's home page still offered seed in April 2021 and only its Delta nutrient range in May 2022 (see Cannabiogen). That says nothing about whether anyone still grows the line.
Traits. The flowering times and aromas in the infobox are from ACE Seeds' listing. Its table gives a THC content of 12 to 15 % with no test behind it; it is left out.

VIB-SWZ-UNK-0100000001, the Swazi General Population of Vibes Collective, is the collective's own Swazi line. The listing says that friends of the collective worked Cannabiogen's line, not that it came from the collective's seed, so the two are not linked.
