Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) is a Caribbean cannabis producer whose cultivation predates the country's legal medicinal industry. On 11 December 2018 the state passed two measures together: the Medicinal Cannabis Industry Act, which established a Medicinal Cannabis Authority to license and regulate the industry, and the Cannabis Cultivation (Amnesty) Act, which the Ministry of Agriculture described as serving to transition farmers who had been cultivating and trading cannabis before the legislation to licensed status.[1]
