Summary
A chart of homozygosity in per cent against generation, from 0 to 15, under repeated self-fertilisation and under repeated mating of full siblings in cannabis breeding. Homozygosity starts at 50 per cent; the selfing curve comes close to 100 per cent by about the seventh generation, while the full-sibling curve rises more slowly. A blue arrow marks a point at the third generation of selfing and a red arrow a point at the fourth generation of full-sib mating, each with an error bar.
