The Dooars is a Terai belt region at the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas, spanning northern West Bengal and parts of Assam. The landscape is dominated by alluvial floodplains, forest reserves, tea country, and river corridors draining south from the Himalaya, creating a humid subtropical environment where feral and cultivated cannabis persist in a patchwork of settlements and agricultural land.
